# Notes

* [Google shipped an open format (OKF) for AI agents. My site already spoke it.](google-shipped-okf.md) - Google rebranded Dataplex to Knowledge Catalog and quietly published OKF, an open markdown format for AI agents. I converted all 51 of my published pieces into a bundle the same week. Nothing reads OKF yet, which is the point.
* [AI search data is in Search Console now. The clicks are missing, but they're coming.](google-ai-reports-search-console.md) - Google added AI search data to Search Console. What it shows, what it hides, and the regulator quietly forcing the rest.
* [I installed EntityMap on this site.](entitymap-installed.md) - A new open standard for declaring which entities exist on a site to AI systems, not just which URLs. Dixon Jones co-edits it. Nothing reads it yet. I shipped it anyway, and here is the bet.
* [Preferred Sources just arrived in AI Mode. I added the button the same day.](google-preferred-sources-ai-mode.md) - Google extended Preferred Sources to AI Mode and AI Overviews on 27 May 2026, the same day I shipped the official Google button to every blog post on this site.
* [Google's new AI optimization guide. Mostly right.](google-ai-optimization-guide.md) - Google says AI optimisation is just SEO. They are mostly right. There is a thin additional layer for the non-Google agents, but it sits on top of classic SEO, not next to it.
* [Manus is renting cloud computers to its own AI agent. Looks a lot like a paid OpenClaw.](manus-cloud-computer.md) - Manus just launched their own cloud computers at $10 to $50 a month. Same shape as OpenClaw, just packaged and paid for.
* [I assumed an npm package name was mine. It wasn't.](gsc-mcp-npm-rename.md) - Quick heads up if you are using my GSC MCP server. Every reader following my install guide was downloading the wrong package. Here is the fix.
* [Should I turn my blog posts into podcasts? Here is a sample, you tell me.](should-i-podcast-my-blog-posts.md) - I ran one of my recent posts through a Claude Code skill and ended up with a listenable 3 minute episode. Press play, then tell me if you actually want audio versions of my posts.
* [Google just dropped Gemma 4. You can run it on your phone.](gemma-4-run-locally.md) - Frontier level benchmarks, runs locally on Ollama or your phone via Google AI Edge Gallery, and zero data leaves your device.
* [SEO is finally dead](SEO-is-finally-dead.md) - No April fools joke this year...
* [Google just added a crawler that ignores robots.txt](google-agent-crawler.md) - Google-Agent is a new user-triggered fetcher for Project Mariner. It browses and acts on the web for users. And it ignores your robots.txt.
* [The Next Wave of Search Is Crawling Markdown](The-Next-Wave-of-Search-Is-Crawling-Markdown.md) - I turned on Cloudflare’s Markdown for Agents and started logging every request. A few days later, a crawler systematically hit every page on my site requesting markdown only. Not a known bot. That tells me the next wave of search is already crawling for AI ready content.
* [I asked an AI agent to subscribe to my newsletter. It did.](firecrawl-agent-subscribed-to-my-newsletter.md) - Firecrawl's new agent feature can interact with websites, not just scrape them. I tested it on my own newsletter signup.
* [Google Stitch is the missing piece between idea and code](google-stitch-ai-design.md) - Google just shipped a free AI design tool that turns prompts into full UI designs. I went from prompt to working website in under an hour.
* [Google AI Studio's vibe coding just got serious](google-ai-studio-vibe-coding-upgrade.md) - Firebase for data, shadcn for UI, external APIs, and background execution. This isn't a toy anymore.
* [Starlink just launched in the UAE. I ordered one immediately.](starlink-uae.md) - Going from Starlink in Norway's winter to Dubai's summer heat. Testing the new Gen 3 dish as a backup to my 1Gbps fibre.
